Development Ops Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, implement, and support a configuration management system
• Responsible for standardizing resources configurations, automating changes across infrastructure
• Work on latest in build technologies like Jenkins, Building in the Cloud and Git
• Integrate automated builds and build artifacts into test environments, unit test harnesses, and code analysis tools
• Provide estimates and manage own schedule at component/sub-system level , Manage build machines, servers, and build environments, and understands security concepts and processes for build systems
• Review release notes, ensure changes are documented and in adherence to TIL’s software development and change management policies

Technical Qualifications:

You must have:

• B.E./B.Tech in computer science or equivalent
• 3-5 years of Configuration Management Experience
• Experience in vesion control tools like CVS, SVN, (GIT, Bitbucket, Gerrit, Jenkins, Mysql are must).
• Experience in build tools like ANT, MAVEN, Makefile
• Experience with scripting (sh, perl, awk, Phython) a must.
• Experience with configuration management systems like Chef or Puppet, Ansible preferred.
• Familiar with Configuration Management concepts, build framework design and architecture
• Must have demonstrated a solid project where they designed and implemented a cross platform build framework
• Linux, Unix and Windows experience
• Demonstrable experience in web application development domain

It would be great if you also have:

• Prior experience of working for a web hosting company in shared as well as Virtualized and dedicated hosting environment (Apache, named based hosting, IP based hosting, SUPHP, suexec)
• Linux/Unix
• Scripting Is Perl or Phython or Ruby as must.
